Welcome to Purple Panda Creative, Where Cards, Rocks, and Curiously Crafted Things Collide

Purple Panda Creative began in 2021 as a heartfelt tribute to my dad, who passed away in 2018. He gave me my slightly questionable sense of humor and taught me that “anything is funny if you laugh at it.” That philosophy still inspires everything I create, especially the puns, dad jokes, and lovingly delivered snark.

It all started with handmade greeting cards and quirky Christmas ornaments. In 2022, a friend introduced me to rockhounding, and one innocent little hobby quickly became a full blown obsession. One rock tumbler became six, beach trips became treasure hunts, and ordinary stones began revealing colors and patterns I never knew were hiding inside them.

Although my family has since left the Pacific Northwest and begun a new chapter, my years there will always be part of the Purple Panda Creative story. Many of the rocks in my collection were gathered from Pacific Northwest beaches, trails, and creeks, then carefully tumbled and polished to reveal their natural beauty.

Today, Purple Panda Creative is home to an ever changing assortment of:

• Tumbled rocks, glass, and other polished treasures
• Handmade jewelry, accessories, and decorative pieces
• Resin art and miscellaneous crafts dreamed up by my glittery brain

There may be fewer nighttime beach hunts these days, but you can still usually find me making cards, running a rock tumbler, experimenting with glass, or becoming completely absorbed in whatever craft has captured my attention next.

Meet Your Maker 🐼💀: The One Woman Show Behind Purple Panda Creative

Hey there! I’m Krys, the pun loving, rock tumbling, glass breaking, craft collecting mind behind Purple Panda Creative. I make greeting cards, polished treasures, handmade gifts, and anything else my glittery little brain decides needs to exist.

I am originally from Florida and spent several years living in the misty, magical Pacific Northwest, where I discovered rockhounding and accumulated far more stones than any reasonable person needs. My family and I have since returned to the Sunshine State, bringing plenty of memories, inspiration, and polished pieces of the Pacific Northwest home with us. 🌲☀️

I have been happily married for 15 years and am the proud mom of two wonderfully wild boys. When I am not spending time with my family or navigating the everyday chaos of motherhood, I am the entire team behind this creative small business. I am the designer, card maker, rock tumbler, glass experimenter, photographer, packer, customer service representative, social media manager, and official finder of things I definitely bought for a craft project but can no longer locate. 🛠️💌

Some days I am carefully assembling a punny card. Other days I am polishing stones, experimenting with tumbled glass, or falling headfirst into a completely new craft. No matter what I am making, every piece is created with care, creativity, humor, and just the right amount of chaos.
